Embeds
Embeds let you pull in content from other tools and show it inside Almox, alongside your work and inside the client's portal. Useful when you have a tool you don't want to replace but you want it to feel like part of the same surface.
What you can embed
If a tool supports being embedded in an iframe, you can probably embed it. Common ones we've seen agencies use:
- Calendly: clients book a call with you without leaving the portal
- Notion: share a Notion page (a project wiki, a knowledge base) inside the portal
- Google Sheets / Slides / Docs: live, view-only access to a sheet of metrics or a deck
- Airtable: show a base or grid view
- Loom: embed a Loom video walkthrough
- Figma: share a Figma file or prototype
- YouTube / Vimeo: embedded video
Adding an embed
From the right sidebar, click New > Embed. Paste the URL of the thing you want to embed, give it a name, pick the client (or team) who should see it, and save.
The embed shows up as an item in your workspace and in the client's portal sidebar, like any other content type, but the body is the embedded tool.
What about tools that don't allow embeds?
Some tools (banks, internal admin panels, some analytics dashboards) block embedding for security reasons. If the URL refuses to embed, Almox will show an error after you paste it. The fallback is to use a Resource link, instead of embedding, the link opens in a new browser tab when the client clicks it.
A note on auth
Embedded tools authenticate against their own service, not Almox. If the embedded thing requires a login (a Notion private page, a paid Airtable), the client needs to be signed in to that service in their browser. For things you want to share with anyone, set the source to public sharing or unlisted before embedding.
