Services
A Service is something you sell, a website build, a logo design, a monthly retainer, a one-hour consultation. Defining a service once gives you a reusable line item that invoices, payment links, and your Store all draw from.
Creating a service
Navigate to Billing > Services and click Add Service. Each service has:
- Name: what the service is called on invoices and in your Store
- Description: a short pitch the client sees when buying
- Price: flat amount, in your default currency
- Type: one-time or recurring
- Recurring interval (if recurring), monthly, quarterly, or yearly
You can also add an image and a longer description for services you'll show in your Store.
One-time vs. recurring
Pick one-time for projects with a fixed price (a website build at a flat $5,000) or per-deliverable work.
Pick recurring for retainers, subscriptions, or anything billed on a schedule. Recurring services become subscriptions when a client buys one.
Tying a service to other things
Once defined, a service can be:
- Added as a line item to an invoice
- Sold via a shareable payment link
- Listed in your Store for clients to buy themselves
- Used as the "buy this to start" gate for a self-onboarding flow
Editing or archiving
You can edit a service's price or description at any time, but changes don't affect already-issued invoices or active subscriptions, they keep the price they were sold at. New invoices and new buyers use the updated price.
Archive services you no longer offer to keep your list clean. Archived services are hidden from your Store and from new invoices but stay associated with historical invoices for the record.
