Files
Files is the place for binary assets that don't have a "live" editing experience, images, PDFs, design exports, video, archives, anything you want to share with a client as a delivered asset.
Where files live
Files can live as standalone items in your workspace (the Files section in the right sidebar) or attached to other things, a chat message, a task on a board, a comment on a feedback project. Anywhere you can attach, the same upload UI is there.
Sharing files with clients
A standalone file shared with a client appears in their portal under Files. If you organize files inside a Folder and share the folder, every file in it inherits that share, including new ones you add later.
Files attached to other things (a task, a chat message, a feedback project) are visible to whoever can see the parent. Attach a design to a task on a shared board and the client sees it as part of the task.
File previews
Common formats preview inline, images, PDFs, video, audio. For other formats, the client downloads a copy. Almox doesn't transcode anything; you upload, the client downloads what you uploaded.
What clients can do
Clients with access to a file can preview and download it. They can't edit or replace the file from their side. If you upload a new version, you upload it as a new file, see Feedback if you want to track versions of a deliverable specifically.
Storage
File storage is included in your plan up to a limit per workspace. See Plans for current limits.
